Delays on some US shipments.

If you got a shipping notification from me on August 19 and your tracking still isn’t updating — this is for you.

There are three big boxes full of packages of yarn currently stuck in limbo at a Canada Post depot in Richmond, BC. They were supposed to be delivered to Chit Chats last Wednesday where the boxes would be opened, and the individual packages cleared through customs and handed off to USPS, well before the August 29 tariff changes.

But as I said, the boxes are stuck. Blargh. I’ve escalated the issue with Canada Post, but that's all I can do at this point.

Here’s the plan* if Chit Chats isn’t able to process the packages before Friday:
→ Chit Chats will return the packages to me.
→ I’ll hang on to them until we get some clarity around documentation and fees/tariffs for cross-border shipping.
→ I’ll re-ship everything as soon as I’m able. I will not ship anything that would require any payment by the recipient.

The good news is there’s still over a month before the KAL begins, so we’ve got some buffer time.

Bottom line: I’m on it. And if it looks like we won’t be able to get your yarn to you in time, I’ll reach out directly by email.

*As always, this plan is subject to change due to whatever strange surprises the next few weeks bring. I’ll keep you posted.
