Our July birthstone yarn is here! This month’s colourway is inspired by ruby, but with a twist.
I started with red, naturally, but then purple kept creeping in. And instead of pulling back, I went with it. The result is a bold, glowing gradient that shifts between red, pink, and violet. It’s not the most traditional ruby, but it’s rich, playful, and beautiful—just like real gemstones, which often surprise you with their colour variations.
This colourway is Round Trip, designed especially for socks. Each skein starts and ends with wide, bold stripes (perfect for sock cuffs) with a glowing variegated section in the middle for the rest of the sock. No need to juggle multiple skeins or colour changes—the striping is built right in.
