Our shawl yarn is specially dyed for triangular shawls, with carefully calculated stripe lengths that stay beautifully even as you knit—no extra ends to weave in!
Because shawls start small and grow larger, the first rows use very little yarn, while the final rows require much more. By casting on with the correct end, the stripes will naturally unfold, gradually expanding as you knit toward the bottom.
For more tips on using this yarn, check out our free shawl pattern here.
For a small shawlette, you will need one 100 g skein of either base yarn. For a larger project, choose the 150 g option. The MCN and Trifecta are heavier fingering weights, while 4-Ply is lighter with more yardage. (See our yarn specs.)
