Like all SHAWL skeins in the Azurite collection, Azurite A is dyed with a fade/gradient that matches the geometry of a triangular shawl  - in this case the green end is the cast-on, dyed with shorter sections to match the short rows at the beginning of a shawl. The sections of colour get longer and longer as the shawl grows, ending with blues at the bind off.

First shawl shown is MCN SHAWL in Azurite A (170 g / 6 oz)
Knitter: Janie Tremblay
Pattern: Bermuda Scarf by Ilga Leja. Details here
Second shawl shown is MCN SHAWL in Azurite A (170 g / 6 oz)
Pattern: Everyday Shawl by Jenny F. Details here

This listing is for one skein of yarn. This is the SHAWL version of this colourway; the CLASSIC/SOCK version is here.

Striping Patterns

Round Trip Designed with two matching halves—perfect for projects like socks, mittens, or sleeves where you want identical results. One 100 g skein of fingering weight is enough for an average-size pair of women's socks. For longer or wider socks, choose the 150 g size.

One-Way Trip A long, non-repeating color sequence. Great for hats, cowls, or scarves—ideal when you want a journey through color from start to finish. For a Musselburgh Hat, 100 g of Trifecta or MCN is enough for a size L hat but you will need 150 g if you'd like a wide, folded brim. 4-Ply has more yardage so 100 g is enough to make a folded brim.

Shawl Yarn Specially dyed for top-down triangular shawls. Each stripe is the same width from beginning to end, with no ends to weave in. 100 g of fingering weight is enough for a small shawlette. 150 g gives a more generous size.

Sweater Yarn  Designed for garments like baby sweaters. The stripes appear only on the yoke, and the rest is a coordinating solid color—no switching yarns or breaking the flow.
