Colour Study : Purple

Please note: Each skein is different as I tweaked and tested my dye recipes. Some are brighter, some are darker, some are muddier, some are cheerier.

We've recently upgraded our dyeing process and did a lot of colour mixing tests to see how the colours play together. I posted a little about it here and here. There was such an enthusiastic response to these fun swatches that I decided to some for the shop.

Each skein has three sections: two matching striped gradients and one solid grey section. One skein is enough for a matching pair of socks

The second image shows one twisted skein lying beside a second skein that has been wound into three separate cakes. The fourth image shows a full skein lying above a knitted sample of one of the two matching gradients.

We sell regular and XL skeins:
115 g (4 oz) is a standard skein
170 g (6 oz) is 1.5 times a standard skein
More more detail, see our base yarns.

Our photos are intended to capture the overall feel of the colourway, but our dye lots do vary. Look here for more info about our yarn, including a description of our base yarns.
