It's club time again! Come join us for a collection of cozy, colourful self-striping yarn.
We're offering a three-month yarn club subscription, with a new, exclusive colourway shipped to you each month. This photo shows the mood (but not the actual yarn) of this collection: a rainbow of deep, complex tones.
Since the holiday season is upon us, we've asked Lee Meredith to design a greeting card for our club members - perfect for giving or receiving! If you sign up before December 10*, we will mail you a real paper card, otherwise you can print your own with the included pdf file.
This is a three month yarn club. Each month you will receive one skein of Gauge Dye Works self-striping yarn. Shipments will go out mid-month in January, February and March. Yarn club does not include patterns.
You will receive a total of three skeins of yarn:
- 170 g (6 oz) : MCN Fingering SHAWL
- 115 g (4 oz) : MCN Fingering CLASSIC
- 115 g (4 oz) : Merino Twist Fingering CLASSIC
A link to download a pdf of the greeting card will be emailed to you as soon as your order is received.
Colourways are exclusive to the club for one full year.
Photo is NOT a club colourway - this is a shawl knit from Hillside.
Club members can purchase additional skeins of the club colourways and can combine other orders with club shipments - just email me at info@gaugedyeworks.com.
Club prices include Canada Post / USPS shipping. US customers who would like FedEx shipping, there is an additional $11 per shipment. Select FedEx at checkout and I will be in touch with a payment link for the difference. My payment system isn't well set up for this special case, sorry for the awkwardness.
*December 10 is our deadline to ensure lettermail arrives at US destinations before the 25th. The overseas shipping deadline has already passed, though it's possible letters will still arrive in time. Our deadline for Canadian addresses is Dec 16.
Striping Patterns
Striping Patterns
Round Trip Designed with two matching halves—perfect for projects like socks, mittens, or sleeves where you want identical results. One 100 g skein of fingering weight is enough for an average-size pair of women's socks. For longer or wider socks, choose the 150 g size.
One-Way Trip A long, non-repeating color sequence. Great for hats, cowls, or scarves—ideal when you want a journey through color from start to finish. For a Musselburgh Hat, 100 g of Trifecta or MCN is enough for a size L hat but you will need 150 g if you'd like a wide, folded brim. 4-Ply has more yardage so 100 g is enough to make a folded brim.
Shawl Yarn Specially dyed for top-down triangular shawls. Each stripe is the same width from beginning to end, with no ends to weave in. 100 g of fingering weight is enough for a small shawlette. 150 g gives a more generous size.
Sweater Yarn Designed for garments like baby sweaters. The stripes appear only on the yoke, and the rest is a coordinating solid color—no switching yarns or breaking the flow.
