You may have noticed there was no newsletter from me last week. I got swept up in the chaos of trying to do too many things at once! So this week’s email is another catch-all update with a bit of everything. Here goes:
1. US shipping will resume in October.
Shipping to the US is still officially closed. We’re planning to reopen orders in early October, once we’re back from Knit City and feel confident that we have a good system in place.
2. Reshipping starts today for August 19 orders.
If you got a shipping notification from us on August 19 (there are about 200 of you), I’ll be re-shipping your orders starting today. There will be no fees or duties when they arrive.
If you’re curious about what’s been going on behind the scenes with shipping and customs, I’ve written a couple blog posts with more info here and here.
3. Knit City Vancouver is coming up soon.
We’ll be at Knit City from September 26–28 and we’re bringing a whole lot of yarn with us. Come say hi, we’ll be at Booth 23!
To find us, walk in the door and head straight down the centre aisle. We will be the sixth booth on the right. You’ll have to pass a lot of beautiful yarn (including the always-amazing Sweet Georgia booth), so I’ll understand if it takes you a while to get to us.
4. A big shop update is coming after Knit City.
Once we’re home, we’ll add everything we bring back to the shop. Expect a big restock in early October.
5. Socktober yarns will be at the show.
We’re bringing both Pumpkin Stripe Latte and Jack-o’-Lantern (pictured above) to Knit City. After the show, we’ll add any leftovers to the shop. That shop update will be your last chance to grab them. Too late to join the KAL, but the yarn will still be fun to knit.
6. September birth yarn will launch in October.
This month’s birthstone yarn will be released alongside October’s. Apologies to all my Virgos and early Libras! I’ve decided to prioritize shipping and Knit City prep for the next couple of weeks.
7. Thank you.
Thanks to everyone who’s been so patient and kind through all the delays and tariff weirdness. I know it’s frustrating, and I really appreciate your support. I’ve had exactly zero angry emails or comments, and I regularly post things on the internet so that’s really saying something.
That’s it for now. Next week I’ll send out a Knit City preview so you can start planning!
