This colourway was designed to work well at a large scale, like a hat or cowl, but could also be divided for matching socks or mittens. The result the fun asymmetrical striping pattern shown in the sketch.
To divide for matching socks, wind the grey at one end of the hank into its own yarn cake, then wind the remaining yarn into a large cake. Matching socks (or mitts!) can be made by working from both ends of the large yarn cake, using the extra grey from the smaller cake if needed.
This colourway was originally released as part of our Winter 2018 yarn club.
This listing is for one skein of yarn.

Striping Patterns
Round Trip Designed with two matching halves—perfect for projects like socks, mittens, or sleeves where you want identical results. One 100 g skein of fingering weight is enough for an average-size pair of women's socks. For longer or wider socks, choose the 150 g size.
One-Way Trip A long, non-repeating color sequence. Great for hats, cowls, or scarves—ideal when you want a journey through color from start to finish. For a Musselburgh Hat, 100 g of Trifecta or MCN is enough for a size L hat but you will need 150 g if you'd like a wide, folded brim. 4-Ply has more yardage so 100 g is enough to make a folded brim.
Shawl Yarn Specially dyed for top-down triangular shawls. Each stripe is the same width from beginning to end, with no ends to weave in. 100 g of fingering weight is enough for a small shawlette. 150 g gives a more generous size.
Sweater Yarn Designed for garments like baby sweaters. The stripes appear only on the yoke, and the rest is a coordinating solid color—no switching yarns or breaking the flow.
