This yarn uses a colour code to represent the letters of the alphabet and spells out COURAGE. See the rest of the Hello Alphabet collection here.
There are two versions of this colourway. This listing is for Round Trip. The other version of this colourway, One Way Trip, is here.
Round Trip has two matching halves. The yarn can be divided in two when winding by cutting at the blue stripe in the middle of the skein. Sock heels and toes can be knit with the grey ends of each ball.
Recommended pattern: Tip Toe Up by Holli Yeoh for toe-up socks or Knox Socks by Knox Mountain Knit Co. for top-down socks.
Pattern Notes: See Holli's excellent tips for working with our yarn.
Our sample has a gauge of 7.5 stitches per inch, and 60 stitches around to fit a women's size 9.
This listing is for one skein of yarn and one suede tag. We do not sell finished knitted items.
Striping Patterns
Striping Patterns
Round Trip Designed with two matching halves—perfect for projects like socks, mittens, or sleeves where you want identical results. One 100 g skein of fingering weight is enough for an average-size pair of women's socks. For longer or wider socks, choose the 150 g size.
One-Way Trip A long, non-repeating color sequence. Great for hats, cowls, or scarves—ideal when you want a journey through color from start to finish. For a Musselburgh Hat, 100 g of Trifecta or MCN is enough for a size L hat but you will need 150 g if you'd like a wide, folded brim. 4-Ply has more yardage so 100 g is enough to make a folded brim.
Shawl Yarn Specially dyed for top-down triangular shawls. Each stripe is the same width from beginning to end, with no ends to weave in. 100 g of fingering weight is enough for a small shawlette. 150 g gives a more generous size.
Sweater Yarn Designed for garments like baby sweaters. The stripes appear only on the yoke, and the rest is a coordinating solid color—no switching yarns or breaking the flow.
