If you've joined the KAL, please see this page for colourway details and Would You Rather questions.
We have a handful of skeins left after shipping all the knit-along yarn. While they won’t arrive in time to join the KAL, they’re available now in case you missed out the first time around.
This April, join us for a playful knit-along where we’ll bring Would You Rather? to life—one stitch at a time! As you knit, you'll answer thought-provoking (or just plain silly) questions directly into your project.
You can use any pattern you like, but we’ll have recommendations for simple socks that will create a blank canvas for your answers.
How the KAL Works
📅 Cast-on: April 1
🎁 Prizes: Fun giveaways along the way to keep us all motivated!
💬 Community: Hosted in our Ravelry group, where you can share progress, chat, and see how others are answering their Would You Rather? prompts.
⏳ Relaxed Pace: Knit at your own speed—whether you finish in April or take your time, everyone is welcome!
The yarn in the photos is the actual KAL yarn. Yarn will ship by mid-March so we are ready for an April 1 cast on.
Choose Your Project
This yarn is specifically designed for socks or mittens. For an average-sized pair of women's socks, you will need one 100g skein of either base yarn. Trifecta is a heavier fingering weight, and 4-Ply is lighter with more yardage.
For triangular shawls we recommend the Shawl version here.
Striping Patterns
Striping Patterns
Round Trip Designed with two matching halves—perfect for projects like socks, mittens, or sleeves where you want identical results. One 100 g skein of fingering weight is enough for an average-size pair of women's socks. For longer or wider socks, choose the 150 g size.
One-Way Trip A long, non-repeating color sequence. Great for hats, cowls, or scarves—ideal when you want a journey through color from start to finish. For a Musselburgh Hat, 100 g of Trifecta or MCN is enough for a size L hat but you will need 150 g if you'd like a wide, folded brim. 4-Ply has more yardage so 100 g is enough to make a folded brim.
Shawl Yarn Specially dyed for top-down triangular shawls. Each stripe is the same width from beginning to end, with no ends to weave in. 100 g of fingering weight is enough for a small shawlette. 150 g gives a more generous size.
Sweater Yarn Designed for garments like baby sweaters. The stripes appear only on the yoke, and the rest is a coordinating solid color—no switching yarns or breaking the flow.
