Yarnography

Last year’s Spring/Winter Club yarns were designed to tell a story about the knitters who participated (so meta, I know). A year later, these colourways are now available to everyone. I’m calling this collection Yarnography because each skein is a form of data visualization—translating knitting habits into colour and pattern.

  • Never Have I Ever – A striped shawl yarn designed as an icebreaker. In the club, we added garter ridges whenever the answer to a Never Have I Ever question was yes. You can do the same or put your own spin on it.

  • On Our Needles – A Round Trip sock yarn that visually represents what types of projects club members were working on. Everyone filled out a survey, and the striping pattern is a stacked bar chart of the results.

  • Recordkeeping – A One Way Trip gradient that lets your capture the rhythm of your knitting. Each time we picked up our knitting, we added 5 or 10 purl stitches, leaving a visible record of our progress in the finished project

These three yarns are available now, ready for you to knit your own story.
