This year, we’re heading into the woods. Think forest creatures, deep-woods vibes, and maybe the cutest socks we’ve ever made.

Our first Summer Club project is a brand-new sock design from Andrea Rangel—featuring a striped raccoon tail on the leg, a mischievous raccoon face on top of the foot, and sneaky little paws on the sole. Yes, it’s as delightful as it sounds.

This year’s kit comes in your choice of three colourways, all dyed on our soft and sturdy 4-Ply Sock base.

The kit includes:

  • One 100g skein of self-striping yarn (75% superwash Merino wool, 25% nylon)
  • A PDF pattern for the Raccoon Socks by Andrea Rangel (delivered via email in mid-May).
  • Access to our Summer Club Knit-Along, starting June 1.

No extra steps—when you sign up, you’re in the club. Join the KAL, share your progress, ask questions, and knit alongside a community of clever, creative makers.

The sock pattern is suitable for an intermediate, or adventurous beginner knitter. Techniques include a short-row heel and stranded colorwork.

It is written for three sizes, with finished foot circumferences of 19.0 cm, 21.5 cm, and 24.0 cm (7.75", 8.50", and 9.75").

Need more racooons? Add extra skeins to your kit here.

This year we will have two club projects. June and August will be sold separately.

Striping Patterns

Round Trip Designed with two matching halves—perfect for projects like socks, mittens, or sleeves where you want identical results. One 100 g skein of fingering weight is enough for an average-size pair of women's socks. For longer or wider socks, choose the 150 g size.

One-Way Trip A long, non-repeating color sequence. Great for hats, cowls, or scarves—ideal when you want a journey through color from start to finish. For a Musselburgh Hat, 100 g of Trifecta or MCN is enough for a size L hat but you will need 150 g if you'd like a wide, folded brim. 4-Ply has more yardage so 100 g is enough to make a folded brim.

Shawl Yarn Specially dyed for top-down triangular shawls. Each stripe is the same width from beginning to end, with no ends to weave in. 100 g of fingering weight is enough for a small shawlette. 150 g gives a more generous size.

Sweater Yarn  Designed for garments like baby sweaters. The stripes appear only on the yoke, and the rest is a coordinating solid color—no switching yarns or breaking the flow.
